Main projects for which Pujya Shree Mota has donated will be mentioned below, but a special reference must be made here to the main characteristic of his donation. Many of his projects are carried through on the strength of interest of the amount donated. Institutions which received the projects were obliged to keep the capital amount intact and awards are to be given every year from the interest. Even the administrative expenditure should be incurred by the institutions themselves. Thus entire interest is utilized for the awards only.
Category: I. Donations for swimming competitions and constructing swimming baths and other games and activities.
Only the brave can weild the sword of religion, no the coward. Therefore Pujya Shree Mota undertook Herculean task of sacrifice of actions to infuse zeal for cultivating the spirit of adventure, hardihood, valour, selfconflicting and endurance in youths by pulling out our society from the mire of lethargy, frustration apathy and inertia.
The sacred task of procreation belongs to women folk and therefore, as the part of their emancipation, their physical strength should be increased to make th future generation more valiant, strong built and able to endure physical strain. For this purpose Shree Mota gave donations for starting the organisation called “Mahajan Shakti Dal” which works for the women’s emancipation.
Keeping in view the vast coast line of India, Mota’s donations managed to initiate on natinal level as well as state level marine and river swimming competitions every year for the youth of our nation so that they may be inspired to plunge head-long into the danger. To add to these, the awards of silver and gold medals to those doing significant work for the removal of untouchability, research work, promotion of planting of fruit yielding trees, educational help to backward-class girls, appreciation of significant work towards the relief of flood or famine-stricken people, service unto the sick and suffering are enough to make us realise the mangnitude of Shree Mota’s mission. Thus, he planned to embrace entire gamut of society to develop good virtues and high ideals fo lofty sentiments so that society may bot remain spiritually crippled. A token aid to the individuals like Mihir Sen was also granted to honor his effort for crossing seven seas.
Main recepient institutions of Mota’s donations under the category first for above mentioned activities are: (1) Sardar Patel University, Vallab Vidyanagar, (2) Governments of Gujarat and Maharashtra States, (3) Gujarat Vyayam Pracharak Mandal, Rajpipla, (4) Surat Municipal Corporation, (5) Surat Swimming and boatin club, (6) Nadiad Municipalit, (7) Vadodara Municipal Corporation, (8) Viramgam Municipality, (9) Khambhat Municipality…etc.
Total amout in this first category reaches to more than Rs. 16,32,000/- (Rupees sixteen lakhs and thirty two thousands).
